Reviewer Instructions

Early Childhood Research & Practice (ECRP), a peer-reviewed Internet journal sponsored by the Early Childhood and Parenting (ECAP) Collaborative, covers topics related to the development, care, and education of children from birth to approximately age 8. ECRP emphasizes articles reporting on practice-related research and development, and on issues related to practice, parent participation, and policy. Papers published in ECRP must meet certain criteria relating to audience, technical content, and presentation. The following form is designed to help reviewers evaluate manuscripts submitted to the journal. If revisions are recommended, reviewers should be as specific as possible in delineating changes and should indicate which changes are recommended and which are mandatory. If a paper is rejected because it is outside the scope of the journal, reviewers are requested to recommend that the paper be submitted elsewhere. If a paper is deemed unpublishable, reviewers should reject it outright.

Please return the review as soon as possible (but no later than 3 weeks after receiving the paper) to:
